The Australian Sports Racer Series has announced a new championship structure, effective from 2015, which will see the introduction of divisional racing for the category.
From 2015, a SR2 Championship will be introduced, allowing more of the field to compete for race day honours whilst also still being in the running for the ‘outright’ SR1 Championship.

NATIONAL circuit racing champions have been crowned during round eight of the Shannons Australian Motor Racing Nationals today at Wakefield Park, near Goulburn.
Titles in the Australian Manufacturers Championship, Sports Racer and Super Six Touring Car series’ were decided today while dramatic rounds in the Kumho V8 Touring Cars and Australian Formula Ford series have shaken up the establishment going into the business end of their respective seasons.

A DRAMATIC day of racing at Wakefield Park has seen both the celebration of success and emotions running high as round eight of the Shannons Australian Motor Racing Nationals teed off today.
While Beric Lynton won the first of two, 200km races that complete the Australian Manufacturers Championship season, Justin Ruggier defeated season-long rival Ryan Simpson in a straight fight for the first time to score a win in the Kumho V8 Touring Cars.
